(AP) Montesano, Wa – Coming off a big win versus Adna, Rainier faced a tough Napavine squad that was coming off a victory over Kalama. Napavine came out early and scored three quick touchdowns to take an early 22 point lead.

Ultimately though, Napavine could not be stopped and finished with 55 points on offense.
Rainier continued to battle late into the 4th quarter and drove 87 yards, with a big 47 catch and run by Ian Sprouffske. This helped set up their final score with Mike Green hitting Carson Edminister in the corner of the end zone for a 13 yard scoring strike.
Sean Mahaffey led the defense with 8 tackles and Jacob Uch had several big hits for Rainier.
